The Avenue of Honour

The tree lined Avenue of Honour is at nearby Lake Tinaroo and stretches 250 metres almost to the edge of the water.

From October to December each year the Avenue of Honour displays a spectacular show of bright red blossoms to commemorate Remembrance Day.

The site is a national memorial in honour of all the men and women who served, as well as to commemorate the memory of all Australian soldiers who have made the ultimate sacrifice for their country in the fight against terror in Afghanistan. It is one of the few monuments of its type outside of Canberra.  Lest we forget.
